I dont want to argue about who is more eligible and who is not..But dont you think that its too farfetched to expect that Rahman is a potential Bharat Ratna awardee. Probably you have a flippant idea about the worth of that award. Please check the recipients so far and then weigh the eligibility. with due respects to Rahman & his talent, Rahman has a long way to go to win teh coveted award. And i dont see the reason why people here try to degrade other composers (and more importantly senior composers whom rahman himself respects), in order to Glorify rahman. Everyone has their own place...and everyone deserves their own due... Anyways, ur personal opinions might trigger controversy here. I request the moderator to intervene and see that all the fans maintain their mature admiration for Rahman instead of writing insulting statements about the talent of other great composers.
